Country Education Foundation of Port Lincoln

CEF Port Lincoln supports local youth to achieve their career aspirations through post-school education and training.

CEF Port Lincoln

Country Education Foundation of Port Lincoln was established to provide much needed financial assistance and support to local youth to help them achieve their post-high school education, training and vocation aspirations. We recognise that the cost of rural students pursuing their post high school goals is often much greater than those of their metropolitan counterparts and that sometimes these costs can be prohibitive.

CEF Port Lincoln fundraises throughout the year and accepts donations from local residents and businesses in order to provide financial grants to students who need an extra helping hand. The funds come directly from your local community – none of it is government funded – celebrating the aspirations of local youth and working to help them achieve these aspirations.

Boot Bash funds are supporting students like Carly take the 1,500km hike from her home town of Alice Springs to study in Adelaide.

“The transition of moving from my family’s home in Alice Springs to Adelaide was certainly a challenge but was made a lot easier with the support of the CEF grant. I managed my finances well with the funds from CEF. I have used the funds to put towards my living expenses, fuel and certificates and clearances I need for my course.

CEF are doing an incredible job in providing opportunities for young people like me. CEF has made support and guidance through my financial challenges as easy as possible.”

Donate and share your support for students, like Carly, at cefbootbash.org.au #cefbootbash

The hike between Cennedi’s hometown and university is an 8 hour drive, making visits home few and far between.

Students from rural and regional Australia face many barriers to education. The support from CEF has helped Cennedi cover some of the essentials like groceries, travel costs to visit family, and kitchen appliances.

With the academic year just about to commence, we wanted to say a big congratulations to our 2025 grant recipients, especially those students being supported by CEF for the first time! No matter where you are up to in your study journey, a CEF grant means that your community is behind you and invested in seeing you achieve your goals.

All students will have received their Welcome Letter with plenty of tips about how to get the most out of their year, including additional support available through CEF.

Have a great start to the year - we look forward to seeing all the incredible things you achieve!
